ArtStack is a way to discover, collect and share art you like or find interesting. Whenever someone you follow uploads or stacks a piece, you'll see it in your feed. When you see something you like, stack it to never forget it and your followers will also see it in their feeds - plus you’ll see whenever a new work by that artist is added to the site. You can follow artists and tags in just the same way that you follow users - the more you follow, the more art you'll see. ArtStack makes it easy to discover and share art with a community of artists, art professionals and art lovers in 200+ countries. Around 300,000 artworks by more than 50,000 artists have been added to the platform by the ArtStack community. The concept is rooted in social discovery: the best way to discover art is through people. Each user has a personalized feed of works based on works they like, as well as what their friends and people they follow like. It’s an easy way to learn about and remember art you like – and to curate your own space online and see what art curators, artists, gallerists, friends and well-known personalities enjoy. ArtStack’s vision is to enable anyone to engage with the world’s most exciting art and discover work by leading emerging and established artists. The platform is now available in English, Spanish and Chinese. more info here Download from the app store Artstack creative team Alex Gezelius is a tech entrepreneur and investor, previously a Principal at Index Ventures, the internet venture capital firm behind Net-A-Porter, Skype, DropBox, Path, Etsy, SoundCloud, Songkick, Lovefilm and ASOS. Cloaque.org is an online collaborative art project curated by Claudia Maté & Carlos Sáez. It can be understood as an online "Exquisite Corpse", which is continued every time by a different artist. Each artist is free to continue the column with any concept or aesthetic. Illustration, collage, gif, interactive artworks...any discipline is valid. By scrolling down the visitor can check the whole collage from the last post to the first one. Each collaboration is linked to the artist website. The visitor is able to look through each artist's body of work individually in our menu and learn more about them on the section “map”, where we locate every collaborator in google maps. Once a year Cloaque.org organizes Cloaque.mov, a “collective show” in audiovisual format. Following the same procedure as in the website, each artist creates an individual 30 second video piece. Cloaque.org, unites each one of the pieces with fluid transitions in order to create a whole story. Cloaque.org Creative team Claudia Maté Madrid born multimedia artist. She works on a large area of online-based projects that spans across programming codes and 3d environments. Currently lives and works in London. Carlos Sáez (Valencia, 1988) is a multimedia artist specialized in online based projects and digital art. He explores the common new media with user level. As creative director he is interested in the internet for global collaboration uses such as Cloaque.org More at Cloaque.org

TACHYONS+ is a Video Art Machine designing team that supplies unique and low cost hands-on tools to video artists around the world. Currently based in Florida and in business for nearly two years: TACHYONS+ is one of the few consistent and dedicated video art machine makers around for what is also known as analog video synthesis, glitch, psychedelic television painting and live projection wizardry. "The machines we currently offer are modified from obsolete devices built in the 80's and 90's, re-created to be used today in applications such as music videos, film-making and experimental art via companion video tools: computers, VCR's, televisions, thrift-store camcorders and modern digital cameras. Mostly analog in nature and unlike any digital computer software available. These machines built from the past, made new today through the Tachyons+ lab, offer new dimensions in creating visuals and displaying video in forms that reach to an obscure past in hand with a bright future of color and movement. The video art machines we have produced so far are being used by professional and amateur video artists from all points in between including Japan to London to Russia to NYC to Los Angeles to Brazil to France to Singapore to Canada to Australia. Currently we are designing a new video art machine code-named The Lightlord. Our current video art machines available are the Vortex Decoder, Saturnizer, FUN 21, Rainbowonic and the Opti-Glitch. We craft these with serious care and a nice guarantee of a long lasting usable and unique video crafting device. Simple and powerful is our key...." Crafted by Logan Owlbeemoth and Omebi Velouria.

WendyPaint℠ is an online Pixel Pattern Painter made for modern Browsers that support the HTML5 canvas element. It is an experimental tool with limited possibilities that leads to a very special pixel trash aesthetic. After registration you are allowed to create patterns to use them as brush for your paintings. You can create patterns pixel by pixel or with color based pattern generator with separated formulas for each channel. Patterns can be saved and organized in pattern sets, that can also be shared with other users. The paintings or drawings stay private until you decide to share them in your profile and the stream. Kim Asendorf is a conceptual artist and works in a large area of media and digital related art. He loves to transport things from the Internet into real life and back. Kim did several net art projects, often based on data taken from the Internet or gathered from other individuals through the Internet. He works very experimental with generative strategies, physical computing, data and glitch. Most of his works leads into installations, sculptures, visualizations and abstract geometric art, but also into applications, animated gifs or noisy sounds. In 2010 he coined the term "pixel sorting", an algorithmic image manipulation process with unique results.

Body and spirit, artificial and natural, real and abstract. Collision gives a spark. The dialogue between these two extremes is growing by itself, as the flesh grows on the carcass. That carcass becomes a framework, peeped in the environment, taken out of context. For acute attention to each subject seems appropriate to use the language of abstraction. Flexible, vibrant and absorbing new meanings out of context. As a result, we obtain artifacts of the events. Chronicle, which is documenting itself.

Undervolt & Co.

Undervolt & Co. is a label for experimental video artists. —A video label? What is that? Why? Why not?! Anything goes. Sometimes it’s hard for experimental videos artists to find institutions that can maintain long term representation. Very few art galleries want to sell, maintain, and deal video art. Even if some of the artist working with Undervolt& Co. are hired to make music videos sometimes, it is always the musicians that come first in that relationship. As a result, none of the traditional distribution systems seem to be a perfect fit for people like us. So we figured it would be a good idea to do it ourselves and make a hybrid child of the good parts of old distribution paradigms. —Are the videos available outside of your store? No. We offer exclusive content created by the artists specifically for our label. —What’s your future goal? We are starting out as a small video label/publisher, but we are aiming to grow into a significant video archival institution for the future. There’s a whole new generation of video artists who grew up in the age of digital revolution. Currently, we don’t see any institutions that actively reflect this generation of experimental video art. We want to to fill the void. In short, Undervolt will help people to find good curated experimental video art for our generation. —Why mp4 downloads, no streaming service? We realize that everything is heading toward streaming/cloud direction, but we want to still borrow from older distro-platforms by using download and some DVDs in the meantime. It may look like we are going one step backward, but we are ok with that for now because we believe that streaming does not equate the kind of distribution we want to bring to this work. We want more control, and fear that services like Youtube and Vimeo don’t give makers the opportunity to control the ways that they want to show their work. So, we will stick with digital download to provide higher quality videos for now. That being said, we will keep looking out for some new videos streaming options in the future. —What kind of apps do I need to play your videos? We like VLC. But you can also use iTunes, Quicktime Player etc. Anything that’s compatible with MP4 format. —Can I screen your videos for events? We encourage people to screen our videos at events for both educational and non-profit entertainment events. But please drop us a note when you do so. That would just make us happy. If you are interested in screening our videos for commercial events, drop us a line. We are trying to operate under an ethos similar to a Creative Commons Non-Commercial Share-Alike license, but want to stay open and encouraging. Above all, we enjoy sharing and communication, so please be in touch! —Are you just giving away your source videos by letting people download for that cheap? Crazy? Don’t you worry about getting your videos stolen to be sampled? Well, if we had our videos on Youtube or Vimeo, you can always find a way to download those to your computer. So, what’s the difference? We’d rather make sure that we can give people the best quality for a fair price early on, rather than worrying about compression and bootlegging. As for the sampling, sample and remix all you want if you are inspired to do so. We also sample from a lot of sources, and we don’t want to be hypocrites! But remember to do something very creative and interesting with it. There is a big difference between creative sampling and direct copying. Direct copying is lame. —Why don’t you sell your videos for higher prices at some fancy art galleries or auctions for more money? Ehh we don’t know. Should we? We wanted to try this out and see what we could do for ourselves to better the conversation and distribution of work that we admire and want to support. But, maybe we’re doing it wrong? Let us know. —Can I commission one of you guys to make some new videos for our project? Of course! Talk to us or contact the artist directly. We would be totally interested to hear about it. —How do I get my videos on Undervolt & Co.? Submission Policy? We are not accepting any submissions at the moment. Sorry. Undervolt & Co.'s creative team Founder: Yoshi Sodeoka Senior Editor/Curator: Nicholas O'Brien Director: Johnny Woods For additional infos, trailers of each of the releases and more, please visit http://www.undervolt.co/

Hello, this is KowalniaRealityTV. We're announcing our first live-stream performance that will take place on christmas eve, 24th of december, at Kowalski studio (called "Kowalnia" - engl. "The Smithery") at the Media Arts department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Two women will be locked up inside the studio space, spending christmas eve away from their families and friends. Still willing to be a part of this every years' celebration they'll stay connected to friends and strangers via skype, facebook, their telephones and other mediums. The performance will start at 12.00 CET and close at daybreak. You'll be able to see them in the studio, from preparing the space for dinner, over killing some time after the "ceremony" they won't be attending. A durational web art piece reflecting on the ephemeral nature of the Internet. Artist On Kawara created his “Date Paintings” (Today series) for nearly five decades, using a meticulous system of construction, spanning over 3000 paintings.

Reflecting the day on which they were painted, Kawara often gave no context for the paintings. Afteronkawara.com simply exists, and given academic estimates of roughly 55 percent of total Internet websites disappearing/changing per year, the idea of cultural stability in the postinternet era is questionable at best. Taken in context with Kawara’s I am still alive telegrams, Afteronkawara.com points at the fact that mere existence for another day in the postinternet is a notable occurrence.

The site features its duration at the bottom, denoting its period of “performance” as well as an intransigent statement that it still remains, despite its precarious circumstances.
